What's the difference between Patient Assist and Smart Clinic?

Patient Assist is the per-team-member subscription that puts AI on the patient in front of you. It includes three modules: Assist for Inbox drafts context-rich replies to patient messages, Assist for Tasks turns messages and visits into the right tasks routed to the right teammate, and Assist for Workflows runs your repeatable per-patient workflows like refills, follow-ups, and lab callbacks. It's priced per team member because the value scales with the people using it. Smart Clinic extends that AI across your whole panel, answering questions like 'which patients haven't had an A1C in 12 months?' or 'who's overdue for follow-up?' It's priced per 1,000 records because the value scales with your data.

What counts as a patient record?

Every unique patient record across your connected systems. Tabflows counts this automatically as soon as you connect, so there's nothing to track manually — and you'll see the count on every invoice.

Can I buy Smart Clinic without Patient Assist?

No. Smart Clinic is an add-on that extends the AI in Patient Assist from one-patient-at-a-time to panel-wide. You need at least one Patient Assist team member to activate it.

Which team members need Patient Assist — just clinicians?

Anyone who touches patient work typically wants Patient Assist: clinicians, MAs, front desk staff, billers. Assist for Inbox helps the people doing triage today, while Assist for Tasks and Assist for Workflows help whoever routes and runs the day-to-day work.

Is there a free trial?

Core is free forever, so no trial needed there. For Patient Assist, every new team member starts with a 30-day free trial. No credit card required to start.

How does the 20% annual discount work?

Pay for 12 months upfront and get 20% off both Patient Assist team members and Smart Clinic. Patient Assist drops from $50/team member to $40/team member. Smart Clinic drops from $250 to $200 per 1,000 records.

Is Tabflows HIPAA compliant?

Yes. Tabflows is HIPAA compliant on every plan, including the free Core tier. BAAs are available — get in touch and we'll send one over.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current cycle. Annual plans don't auto-renew unless you tell us to. You always keep the free Core tier.
